Subject: Re: [sc34wg3] Need definition of "Assertion" in Reference Model
Dear Mary,
The words I found on a quick search were
====
genmei
(n) strict order; peremptory command
genmei
(n) declaration; statement; assertion; (P)
====
hyoumei
(n) declaration; indication; manifestation; demonstration; expression;
announcement
hyoumei (computer term)
assertion
====
of which "hyoumei" sounded the most promising, since it is listed as the
equivalent of the computer term "assertion". Mind you, my 5 years of
Japanese were back in my school days, so I really can't pick between the two
based on any knowledge of common usage.
Cheers,
Tony.
