Agreed.

No, IMHO the production of at least XML output is crucial for
post-processing the query results, so this should go in part 1.

I suppose to leave it out - I think from XML we can get anywhere with
XSLT. HTML output (or some other format) would be a large
bag-on-the-side of a TMQL implementation (we just started working on a
TMQL implementation, so we do not need a lot more requirements :-).
