My only concern is, that every change in CTM results in a lot of work:
- Does it play nicely with TMQL?
- Is the syntax coherent?
- Is the language recognisable by parsers?
- ...

Each change requires this work and work requires time. And if I
understood SC34 correctly, we do not have time, at least we have to
push TMQL forward.

I don't know enough about TMCL but I wonder why this proposal wasn't
made earlier.
