For those of you able to take a snap decision, there is still
time to sign up for Topic Maps 2007, the First International
Topic Maps Conference, which takes place next week in Oslo (see
www.topicmaps.com for details).
There have been four previous (and very successful) Topic Maps
conferences in Oslo, the last of which attracted well over 200
people and overflowed the venue.
This year's conference is the first with a fully international
profile and it too looks like being a great success. A lot of
people have already signed up, but there is still room for more
because we have moved to a larger venue.
Take a look at the program and you will find case studies from
all around the world, as well as technical presentations given
by some of the most knowledgeable practitioners in the business.
An ISO meeting is being collocated with the conference, so you
will also find most of the ISO Topic Maps committee (SC34/WG3)
at the conference. Take a look at the names of the speakers and
see how many you recognize!
You won't get a better opportunity to
* learn from fellow users,
* discuss with your peers, or
* hobnob with the gurus
-- at least not until Topic Maps 2008! So take this opportunity
if you can and join us in Oslo on Wednesday next week.
I look forward to seeing you there!
