Greetings!

Dr. Hope A. Olson (University of Wisconsin Milwaukee) has a webpage on 
bias in subject access standards:

I have only sampled the cited literature, which focuses on extant 
subject access standards, but think it would be useful to be aware of 
these issues in constructing the 'subjects' that users will find.
