Extreme is a technical conference devoted to markup, markup
languages, markup systems, markup applications, and software
for manipulating and exploiting markup. At Extreme Markup
languages software developers, tag set designers, librarians,
computer scientists, linguists, markup theorists, taxonomists,
publishers, lexicographers, typographers, and other XML
bricklayers and pipefitters devote the better part of a week
