Thanks, Jim, for two very thoughtful postings. I hope they will
help us get the discussion back on track.

I really have nothing to add, apart from one totally irrelevant
point:

Speaking for myself, if this were the case, I would not have
attended every single regular SC34 meeting since 1995 ;-)

I do what I do because I believe in the same principles as Yuri
Rubinsky:

   1. Do good.
   2. Have fun.
   3. Make money.

I started Ontopia for those reasons, and in that order. Yes, I
want Ontopia to succeed. But even more than that, I want topic
maps to succeed (cf. item #1).

That's why I react so strongly to being accused of having a base
vendor motivation.
